Archuleta County Evacuation Center

Evacuation Information

You have been evacuated by the Archuleta County Sheriff’s Office.
Please respond directly to the address below for the check-in procedure:

550 Hot Springs Blvd., Unit A
Pagosa Springs, CO, 81147

Check In and Let Us Know You’re Safe

When a check-in process is activated, all evacuees are encouraged to register with the designated evacuation reception center at the Department of Human Services on Hot Springs Blvd or through the official check-in instructions, even if they are staying with friends, family, or elsewhere.

Checking in helps emergency personnel account for displaced residents, identify needs, and coordinate services. Your information will be handled through the designated emergency response process.

Tell Us
What You Need

If you or a household member needs additional support, notify shelter or reception center personnel.

This may include transportation, prescription medication replacement, medical equipment, mobility assistance, accessible accommodations, communication support, infant supplies, or other essential needs.

You do not need to stay at a shelter to ask about available assistance.

Make Arrangements for Your Animals

Emergency Management and partner agencies may coordinate animal sheltering resources during an evacuation.

Pets, service animals, livestock, and other large animals may have different accommodation arrangements. Service animals generally must be permitted to accompany their handlers in public emergency shelters.

Bring animal identification, medications, food, carriers, leashes, and vaccination records when safely possible. Never delay your own evacuation or reenter a restricted area to retrieve an animal without authorization.
